These are the main features

  • Possibility of server-based user authentication
  • Authentication of end devices using the MAC address thanks to extended port security (MAC authentication bypass)
  • Integration in high availability/redundant PROFINET systems
  • Possibility of separating administrative and PROFINET VLANs thanks to separate IP subnets
  • Improved fiber-optic link diagnostics

These are the advantages

  • User management via LDAP and RADIUS
  • PROFINET S2 system redundancy
  • Extended SFP diagnostics

FL SWITCH 1000NT unmanaged switches

Ethernet switches for harsh environments

The FL SWITCH 1000NT product family is being extended to include new versions with an extended temperature range as well as approvals for the process industry and maritime applications.

These are the main features

  • The switches offer a robust metal housing, a high port density, and an overriding prioritization of data traffic for automation protocols.
  • With the robust housing, the FL SWITCH 1000NT series has a high immunity, making it suitable for use in demanding applications.
  • Select models also include SFP ports that provide customers with greater flexibility depending on the connectivity and distance requirements of their application.

These are the advantages

  • Metal construction: -40°C ... +75°C
  • Supply voltage: 9 V DC ... 32 V DC, 18 V AC ... 30 V AC
  • Conformal coating variants available soon

Unmanaged Switches

Industrial Unmanaged Switches from Phoenix Contact excel with variable numbers of ports and various designs. We provide Unmanaged Switches with a variety of functions, depending on the application:

  • Switches for DIN rails in 19″ format and for wall mounting (IP67)
  • Up to 24 ports with copper, FO, or SFP connection
  • Fast Ethernet and Gigabit switches
  • Flat and slim design
  • Robust metal housings and versions with protective coating (conformal coating)
  • Signal contact for reporting problems with the power supply and link failures
  • Versions with an extended temperature range (-40°C ... +75°C) and redundant power supply
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE) versions with up to 30 watts per port
  • PROFINET versions with PTCP filter
  • Versions with industry-specific approvals (CE, UL, KC, ATEX, IECEx, DNV/GL, ABS, LR, BSH, BV)

Managed Switches for universal automation applications

The Managed Switches of the 2000 series provide a cost-effective range of standard functions and are extremely versatile.

  • Fast Ethernet switches and Gigabit switches (incl. Jumbo Frame support)
  • Unmanaged mode: network stability without configuration effort
  • Multicast filters (IGMP snooping) to reduce the data load in the network
  • Redundancy functions (RSTP, MRP) for failsafe networks
  • Easy and flexible configuration

The 2200 and 2300 versions also feature

  • An extended temperature range (-40°C ... +70°C), redundant power supply, and alarm output
  • FO ports (SC, ST/BFOC, SFP)
  • Approvals for maritime applications (GL/DNV, BV, ABS, LR, RINA) and the process industry (ATEX, IECEx)
  • PROFINET conformance class B
  • Functions for improving failsafe performance (large tree support, fast ring detection, LACP)
  • Security functions (RADIUS authentication, MAC-based port security)

Managed Switches for stringent requirements

For complex applications, the Managed Switches of the 3000 and 4000 series combine comprehensive diagnostic, performance, and safety functions.

  • Fast Ethernet switches and Gigabit switches
  • Versions with extended temperature range
  • DIN rail and rack mounting
  • Copper, FO, or SFP ports
  • Extended ring redundancy: switch-over times of just 15 ms in the event of an error
  • Up to 64 VLANs, multicast filters, and trunking
  • Security functions (user accounts, port security, IEEE 802.1x RADIUS authentication, HTTPS)
  • PoE versions with up to 60 W per port and PoE-specific configuration options
  • Versions in accordance with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613
  • Versions with ATEX and IECEx approval

Managed Switches with real-time capability for Time Sensitive Networking

The FL SWITCH TSN 2300 devices are the first Managed Switches from Phoenix Contact for Time Sensitive Networking (TSN). In addition to using them in classic applications, the innovative TSN technology also allows you to realize real-time-capable Ethernet networks. The TSN mechanisms increase the performance, robustness, and availability of current networks.

PROFINET switches

Thanks to an integrated PROFINET device, the 2200, 2300, SMCS, and GHS PROFINET switches are ideal for use in PROFINET class B networks.

  • MRP redundancy for fast switch-over within 200 ms
  • Fast device replacement and network topology monitoring thanks to LLDP
  • Integration into the engineering: complete configuration and diagnostics from the PROFINET controller

IRT Managed Ethernet Switches provide the ideal scope of functions for PROFINET class C networks.

  • Fast Ethernet switches
  • Temperature range: -25°C ... +60°C
  • DIN rail mounting (IP20) and wall mounting (IP67)
  • Integrated ERTEC technology for PROFINET applications
